Bathing

Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris, and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, we have different shampoos for all skin types that contain soothing agents that will help stop the itching.

Behavioral Medicine

Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. Our staff is trained to help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the patient.

Microchipping

Millions of pets  become lost each year. Tragically, few are reunited with their owners. Many lost pets end up in shelters where they are adopted out to new homes or even euthanized. It is important that your pet has identification at all times. Collars and tags are essential, but they can fall off or become damaged. Technology has made it possible to equip your pet with a microchip for permanent identification. If your pet is picked up as a stray and he is microchipped, a quick phone call to the microchip company to obtain your information, and your pet will soon be home safe.

The microchip is about the size of a grain of rice. It consists of a tiny computer chip housed in a type of glass designed to be safe with your pet's body. The microchip is implanted between the pet’s shoulder blades under the skin with a needle and special syringe. The process is similar to getting a vaccine. Little to no pain is experienced -- most pets do not seem to even feel it being implanted.

It is important that when you get home that you remember to register your pet's new microchip online! You will register a new account and enter all of your contact information. *you must remember to update all information when you move or your pet's microchip will not be effective.

*Microchips are designed to last for the life of your pet. They do not need to be charged or replaced. *Some microchips have been known to migrate from the area between the shoulder blades, but the instructions for scanning emphasize the need to scan the pet’s entire body. *Your pet can be easily identified if found by a shelter or veterinary office in possession of a scanner. However, some shelters and veterinary offices do not possess scanners. *Even pets kept primarily indoors can become lost. Ex.. Car accidents, home fires, or even a pet running out the front door of your house.

Radiology

Radiology – or X-rays – help us evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.

We have incorperated digital radiology into our diagnostic precedures, leading to more immediate treatment and giving our doctor the chance to share patient information in a much more time-efficient manner. Digital x-rays provide quicker, clearer, and faster images than film x-ray.  A digital x-ray of your pet's injury or area of concern is taken and displayed in seconds. Like a digital photo, a radiograph can be manipulated after it is taken allowing our team to view the image in ways that aren't possible with film x-ray.

In addition to our standard digital radiograph imaging system we also use a mobile intra oral digital device. This gives us the mobility we need to do full oral radiographs on all of our patients before, after and during dentistry procedures.

By using digital x-ray we can have Board Certified Radiologists review x-rays by emailing them the images. We love demonstrating the benefits and capabilities of our digital x-ray units and are here to provide you with the best care for your best friends!

Though our hospital embraces traditional medicine we do incorporate some holistic approaches to pet health and wellness.
